What is ChipBet.net?
ChipBet.net is an online game (free to register and play) where you compete with other players to make the most chips by playing pretend gambling games and challenging other users to Head2Head matches. The user with the most chips at the end of the 'Jackpot' wins a cash prize. And a new Jackpot will begin, resetting all users back to a balance of 100 chips. Information about when the Jackpot will end and the prizes for the Jackpot can be seen on any page of the site in the top green box.

Is ChipBet.net free?
Of course! We never charge anyone to register or play at ChipBet.net. However, we may soon bring out a new sponsor section of the site that has extra features and is available to people who wish to sponsor ChipBet. However none of the sponsor features will EVER have any advantage over non-sponsors, it will be a completely separate section of the site from the main jackpot and prizes.

How is ChipBet.net free?
We have adverts on the site that pay for the prizes and hosting costs of the site. Obviously, as we get more users, our revenue will increase and allow us to offer bigger prizes. We only have small built-in adverts. We will never put pop-ups on ChipBet.net. We find them as annoying as you do!

Why am I only allowed one account?
If you had more than one account, you would have twice the chance of winning the jackpot. We only let you have one so it is fair on everybody who uses the site.

What happens if I create more than one account?
We are always on the lookout for duplicate accounts. If we suspect you have more than one account, we will email you to ask for a reason. If we think you are cheating in anyway. We won't hesitate to ban you. So don't cheat!

How do I play pokerslot?
Pokerslot is a poker slot machine. After logging in, you will see your chip balance, name and position on screen. Click the chip icon to change your bet size. Then, using the bottom grey bar you can click the poker 'hand' that you think will come up.
Click it as many times as you want to bet, you will see the number increase to represent the amount of chips you are betting on it with. Once you have placed your bets, click the 'spin' button to start the machine. Then click the 'stop' button to stop each card one by one until the machine has stopped spinning. Don't forget to use the 'odds' button to view the payout for each hand. A royal flush is unlikely, but if it does come up. You win 22,000 x your bet!

How do I play Highlow?
Highlow is a guessing game. You must decide if the card after the one on the screen will be higher, lower or the same.
Click the chip icon to set your bet size. This is all you have to do, there is no betting table as there is in pokerslot. The payout from the card being higher, lower or the same will update as you change the chip size, based on the odds x the chip size.
If a card comes up that you don't want to bet on, then you can press skip until you find one you like. For instance, a 7 is right in the middle, there's the same chance the next card could be higher or lower. Don't forget it could be the same again!

How do I play Safecrack?
Safecrack is the simplest of the ChipBet.net games. It is also currently the only LIVE game. Meaning other players could be playing it at the same time as you are.
The safe will always have a random combination between 000, and 999. You must guess this combination to win the chips inside the safe. You can do this by clicking the numbers to set them to the combination you want. Then turning the dial to guess. Each turn of the dial will cost you one chip, of which 0.5 will be added to the safe!
Safecrack is a very exciting game as everyone is cracking the SAME safe. The safe number is written in the top corner and the amount of chips in the safe in displayed on the front of it. Every safe starts with 250 chips that can be won by guessing the combination. If you have enough chips, you should be able to try every combination and eventually win the 250 chips. And you will also win half the chips you used trying to crack the safe.
The catch is there could be someone else cracking the safe at the same time. Although this means you will get more chips if you win, as you will get all their chips they spent trying to crack the safe. But it could go the other way. During play it will tell you if someone has managed to crack the safe before you and a new safe will be created with 250 chips and a brand new combination. Meaning all those numbers you tried before could be the correct combination again. It's either a game of high payout, or a bad loss! You need to crack the safe first!

What is a lotto prize?
The lotto prize is given away to a random user at the end of the jackpot. Each chip you have acts as a 'ticket' in the lotto draw. So the more chips you have, the more likely you will win the lotto prize. But everyone has a chance to win, even if you only have 1 chip!

How long will PMs stay in my PM box for?
To save room on our server, we delete all PMs that are over 2 months old. This keeps the server clean and faster. We assume that anything that old shouldn't be needed by you. If it is, then you should copy the PM and save it to your computer.

Is it ok for 2 different people who use the same computer to sign up an account each?
If you can avoid it, then please do. Otherwise, yes it's allowed. But our cheating bot will inform us that they are the same. And we will probably email you to make sure. We also keep a close eye on same computer accounts to make sure your not cheating.

What happens if I run out of chips?
If your chip balance falls below 50 chips, we will put you back on 50 chips, because we're nice like that! However, these 50 chips are only given to you on the next hour after your balance dropped below 50, to prevent repetitive betting with unlimited chips.

What should I do if someone is being abusive or spamming?

How do you send me my prize if I win?
If you win a prize, we will email you soon after the Jackpot finishes. If it is a cash prize, we like to send it through PayPal, if you have an account. If you do not have a PayPal account, we can discuss other forms of Payment depending on your location.

How long is a Jackpot?
Jackpot lengths can vary; currently we set them to around 3 weeks. Although as the site becomes more popular, we may be able to shorten them. So prizes are given out more often.

What is Head2Head?
Head2Head is a player vs. player system, where users can gamble their chips against each other by setting up a Head2Head game. Head2Head is only visible in your account when you have become a member of ChipBet.net, and is one of the unique exciting features of ChipBet.net.
To create a Head2Head, simply log in, and in the 'account' section of the site, you will see a link to Head2Head. Here it will explain how Head2Head works, and let you set up one of the two Head2Head game types, 'red or blue' or '1 in 10'.

Why is my actual chip balance different to the one on the scoreboard?
Your score is always rounded down to the nearest whole number when displayed on the scoreboard. This is to keep the site looking nice and clean. Although, when taking winners of the jackpot into account, we will look at the actual scores (if the two top players have the same whole number chip balance).

What happens if two people win with an identical chip balance?
If they are completely identical, then the prize will be split between both players.

Why does it ask for my email during registration?
You need to enter a real email address at registration, as we require it for account validation. This is a security measure to put people off creating multiple accounts (as they can't use the same email again), but also so you can receive notifications from ChipBet.net about important events such as new PMs and Head2Head offers. All notifications can be turned off in your account or directly at registration if you wish. If you turn off Head2Head email notifications, then you will be sent a PM about the Head2Head instead.

How do you stop people cheating?
We have a clever anti-cheating bot built into the site that is constantly scanning for suspicious activity and cheating. It then alerts us and allows us to deal with the problem as we see fit. Quite simply, don't cheat!

Why do I lose chips when I create a Head2Head?
The chips you offer in the Head2Head are stored, away from your account to prevent you spending them, otherwise there would be no chips left for your opponent to win. You can cancel a Head2Head at any time and your chips will be instantly replenished. All Head2Heads are automatically cancelled when a Jackpot finishes so your whole chip balance is counted when it comes to checking the winners.
